Duct Tape and Denim

  • $ 1499

This vintage letterpress printing block features the Henson Kickernick name repeated three times, capturing a piece of mid-century branding history from a company that helped shape American lingerie fashion.

Henson Kickernick began as a women's lingerie and undergarment maker, eventually becoming a well-known brand in the mid-20th century. The company was headquartered in the historic Kickernick Building in Minneapolis, built in 1896. This building was one of the first skyscrapers in the city and later became the headquarters for Kickernick, reflecting the company's significant presence in the garment industry.

The company was known for producing a wide range of women's undergarments, including panties, bras, pajamas, gowns, robes, and slips. Many women worked in their factories, and the company played a significant role in providing employment opportunities for women in the early 20th century.
