These license plate charms are true vintage pieces made as a fundraiser by the DAV -- Disabled American Veterans. They would have your real license plate numbers on them. If you put them on your keychain and ever lost your keys, all someone had to do was drop them in a mailbox. They would be returned to the DAV and the DAV would send them back to the owner! What a great memory of days gone by!
